Lisa Rasmussen CPDT-KA| Owner & Trainer
Lisa is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT KA) and graduate of the Canada West Canine Centre in Salmon Arm, British Columbia. Lisa’s interest in animal behaviour originated while she was completing her undergraduate studies in biology and physical anthropology at the University of Winnipeg. Lisa has been working with animals for almost 10 years now; however her interest in dog training evolved when she entered the world of dog rescue. When Lisa first started with The Manitoba Mutts Dog rescue in 2011, she witnessed a wide array of behavioural issues such as separation anxiety, aggression and fear. Determined to understand and help these animals, Lisa made a career move and set out to become a dog trainer.
In addition to dog rescue, Lisa and her Doberman Pinscher, Bentley, volunteer with the St. John Ambulance Dog Therapy Program and with the Canadian Animal Blood Bank. Lisa is also certified in Pet First Aid. Lisa shares her life with her partner Robin, and their three dogs; Bentley, Lola, and Jilly Beans.
